The footballer has been the runners up in 2022 FIFA World Cup and had lifted the Ligue 1 trophy with Paris Saint Germain. The Frenchman is largely expected to finish behind Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Mbappe had won the Golden Ball in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He scored eight goals in the tournament including a hattrick in the final against Argentina. However, it wasn’t enough as Lionel Messi & Argentina won the trophy via penalty shootout.
