England all-rounder Liam Livingstone has dismissed Eoin Morgan’s statement about the defending champions appearing “unsettled” during the ongoing World Cup. He refuted rumors of any discord within the team’s dressing room.
“Everybody in the dressing room has got immense respect for Morgs (Morgan) but hand on heart I can tell you there is nothing going on in the dressing room. Everybody is working as hard to try and turn this around,” Liam Livingstone said after the 100-run loss to India on Sunday.

What did Eoin Morgan say?
Eoin Morgan, the former England captain who guided the team to World Cup glory in 2019, expressed worry about the morale and confidence of the team led by Jos Buttler. He said that, “there’s something within the team that is definitely unsettled.”
“I’ve never come across a sports team that has underperformed like this England team, given the level of expectation that is on their shoulders. The method, which they’re trying to use and given the substantial nature in which they’ve lost the games, it is definitely called into question, the morale within the changing room and the confidence,” Eoin Morgan said on Sky Sports ahead of India vs England clash.
“It must be at its lowest that it’s been for a considerable period of time now. This is is 50 over cricket, IPL is T20 cricket. It is a very different game. We are not just playing good enough cricket at the moment.” he further said.
Aa they faced their fifth defeat in six matches, the defending champions England find themselves on the cusp of an early exit from the World Cup. Moreover, they are placed at the bottom spot of the league table with a net run-rate of -1.652.
