Pakistan’s Mohammad Wasim gave fans at Chepauk a memorable moment during the PAK vs SA World Cup match on Friday. The pacer hit a MS Dhoni like “Helicopter shot” for a 86-metre six.
Wasim’s shot came in the 45th over of Pakistan’s innings which was being bowled by South Africa’s Tabzair Shamsi. While the spinner over-pitched delivery which was in the arc, Wasim dug the ball out and clubbed it over midwicket for a six.

Talking about the game, Tabraiz Shamsi picked four wickets as South Africa bowled out Pakistan for 270 in Chennai.
After opting to bat, Pakistan lost both openers early but skipper Babar Azam (50) along with Mohammed Rizwan (31) revived Pakistan’s innings.
Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel scored a 65-ball 50 while Shadab Khan played a quick cameo with aggressive 36-ball 43 to push Pakistan to a competitve total in a must-win clash.
Notably, Pakistan have lost three of their five matches and need to win their remaining matches to qualify for the World Cup semi-final.
