WATCH: Ben Stokes & Liam Livingstone narrate horrific auto rickshaw incident in India

A day before the ENG vs SL battle, a video has surfaced online which shows Ben Stokes & Liam Livingstone escaping an accident in India.

The 2019 World Cup hero for England, Ben Stokes came out of retirement, only to help his team in the bid to retain the title in India. But the script did not go according to the plan as he faced an untimely injury and missed a few games for his team. Even when he did make the playing XI in the match against South Africa, the contribution wasn’t substantial as England lost by 229 runs.

Nothing seems to be going right for Stokes, or Team England, on or off the field as well. On Wednesday, the star all-rounder in a video narrated a horrific auto rickshaw incident involving him, batter Liam Livingstone, and coach Andy Mitchell, where they narrowly escaped an accident.

“So, me and Livi [Liam Livingstone] are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch, who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk’s aren’t very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. This is the one I got… We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes!” Stokes said in The Athlete’s Voice by 4CAST.

While it’s not clear with the video, as to when and where the incident transpired, it does look like Delhi.

All-Important ENG vs SL Clash

ENG vs SL holds utmost importance for the defending champs. Both the teams are languishing at the bottom of the World Cup 2023 points table, and winning the match here would do a world of good to their confidence. Despite the poor run of form, England is still the favorites to win the match.
