Australian opener David Warner slammed an excellent century during the AUS vs NED World Cup match in Delhi. To note, Warner had received a wish from his daughters to score a century in the WC recently. Since then, the Southpaw has smashed back-to-back centuries in the World Cup. Earlier, David Warner smashed the Pakistan bowling line-up to stroke a superb hundred in Bengaluru. After the match, Warner had dedicated his century to the Warner sisters.
Warner celebrated his century in ‘Pushpa’ style
The veteran Australia opener recorded his sixth ODI World Cup century and celebrated it with Pushpa movie’s famous ‘Main Jhukega Nahi Sala’ style. As mentioned above, this was Warner’s sixth hundred in World Cups as he levelled with Sachin Tendulkar in the all-time list for centuries in World Cup. David Warner is just below India’s Rohit Sharma, who has seven to his name.
As stated above, Warner had roared back to form during the match against Pakistan in Bangalore when he survived an early scare to score 163 runs and help Australia win their second win on the trot. Against the Netherlands, David Warner finished on 104 runs in just 93 balls including 11 fours and three maximums.
