The Decision Review System (DRS) was not available for 1.1 overs during PAK vs AUS World Cup match at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Friday. During the Pakistan innings, the umpire conveyed to the openers that the DRS was not available due to the power failure.
The innings continued without the DRS from 16 to 18.1 overs. However, luckily, no wickets fell in this duration and no controversy errupted.
However, Pakistan cricket fans were still furious with BCCI and called out the Indian board for not having power backup in such a big tournament.
“No drs for the one of the important matches of this WC due to power outrage World’s Richest Board for you”, one X user tweeted.
“No drs and ball tracking in the 2nd innings. What a clown host”, other user tweeted.
