Team England were trolled brutally after their horrific loss in ENG vs AFG World Cup match. Being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, the Three Lions failed to chase down the total of 285 runs as Afghani spinners wreaked havoc over the destructive England batting line-up. Meanwhile, the fans on the social media did not shy away at taking shots at the defending champs England.
Earlier, in the match, England won the toss in AFG vs ENG match and opted to have a bowl first. The Afghani openers especially Rahmanullah Gurbaz was severe with the bat as he smashed a quick-fire 80 before getting run-out. Rest of the Afghanistan batters also got starts but could not convert it to a big total.
Chasing a total of 285 runs, England got off to a poor start as they lost Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root quickly. However, Dawid Malan and Harry Brook stabilized England’s ship. Experienced spinner Mohammad Nabi got the big wicket of Malan next. After the fall of Malan, none of the English batters managed to stick on the wicket. Brook went on to completed his fifty but it was not enough for the England to trump Afghanistan in Delhi.
