After a last-minute decision to have a pre-match ceremony for the IND vs PAK encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14, BCCI has decided not to televise or stream the ceremony for viewers at home.
Without taking into account the viewers at home, BCCI has decided that the pre-match ceremony will be only viewed by fans in the stadium.
However, this decision has not gone well with the fans, who are furious over this sudden change of plans and are criticising Jay Shah (BCCI Secretary) and the BCCI in general.
The last-minute decision by BCCI and Jay Shah was prompted by the calls to boycott the game. People have also accused the board of giving ‘special treatment’ to the Pakistan Cricket Team.

The reason behind calls to boycott IND vs PAK match
Just a couple of weeks before the Pakistan Cricket Team arrived in India, an Indian Army Colonel commanding a Rashtriya Rifles Unit, along with a Major and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in Kashmir.
Once the Men in Green were greeted upon their arrival in Hyderabad ahead of the warm-up matches, people were up in arms and accused BCCI of giving special treatment to the people from a nation that aids terrorism in India.
