Day 2 of BGIS 2023 witnessed 16 of the nation’s top BGMI teams battling it out in the heart of Mumbai, with the coveted title of India’s Esports Champions up for grabs. As the event reached its midway point, an impressive and dedicated audience added to the electrifying atmosphere at NSCI, SVP Stadium. Gladiators Esports is currently in 2nd position after 2 days of battle. In a talk with InsideSport, Destro shared his experience of attending LAN with the audience.
After such a long time having the audience back in the stadium, how do you describe the emotion you felt in the LAN environment with the audience?
Ans: It was definitely very good because the last time I played a LAN, I think it was in 2019, so the feeling is really great. When we walked in, the audience was cheering for us. It was really wonderful.

After day two matches, we have seen you in the top positions. So which team do you think has the biggest competition in the tournament?
Ans – I feel every team here can give us some competition. They are there for a reason; they have proven themselves. But I feel if I have to name a few teams, it would be Revenant and Gods Reign currently because they are playing extremely well. Hopefully, we will make a good comeback and be on the leaderboards.
As a seasoned player, what advice would you give to undergods who are attending their first LAN at BGIS 2023?
Ans – I feel like 90% of the players here are playing their first land, and not everybody knows how to handle pressure situations quite nicely. But I think they can handle the pressure, you know, by not thinking about the audience. You know they are here because they have played well since the start. I feel they should focus on the game and not on the audience.
How do you stay focused and maintain your composure in high-pressure situations?
Ans: For me, when I am in the game, I am totally in my zone. I am just giving my 100% to the game. I am thinking about what I can do to make my team win. So whenever I’m playing, my focus is totally on the game.
Any message for your fans?
Ans – Thank you so much for supporting whoever has supported me till now, whatever I am today. It’s all because of you and the love you have given. Hopefully, I’ll prove myself and do it all because of you and the love you have given. Hopefully, I’ll prove myself and do something good.
