Fans ask for selfie, Shaheen Afridi says, “will only take selfie after..”

The incident happened when Shaheen Afridi was making his way off to the ground after training.

Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi has sent a open waring to Team India. The young Pakistan pacer rejected fans’ request for a selfie but promised that he will take a picture only after taking a five-wicket haul in IND vs PAK on Saturday, October 14, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The incident happened when a few members of the media reportedly asked Afridi for a selfie as he made his way off to the ground after training. However, the Pakistani pacer replied: “Zaroor selfie loonga, but five wicket lene ke baad [I’d be happy to take one, but only after I’ve claimed five wickets].”

Notably, Afridi has made a disappointing start to World Cup campaign, the left-armer has so far picked 2 wickets in 2 matches while conceding 103 runs combined. The 23-year-old conceded 66 runs and picked one wicket against Sri Lanka, while he ended with the figures of 1-37 in seven overs against the Netherlands.

However, Shaheen looks determined to make a comeback and wants to make a big impact against arch-rivals Team India. Notably, Shaheen enjoys a great record against Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul and would be aiming to continue to dominate against India’s top-order.
