Available or unavailable? There have been a lot of speculations on Shubman Gill for the India vs Pakistan clash. However, Rohit Sharma has provided a big update ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup clash in Ahmedabad. Shubman travelled to Ahmedabad after spending a night in the hospital in Chennai as he is recovering from dengue. The youngster also had a closed-door practice session in Ahmedabad before the IND vs PAK game.

Now, Rohit Sharma has confirmed that Shubman Gill is available for selection even though he is not fully fit.

“He is at 99% and available. We will see tomorrow,” Rohit Sharma said at the pre-match press conference on Friday.

As a sick Shubman Gill reached Ahmedabad, former India all-rounder and World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh had some motivating words for the youngster.

“I have strengthened Shubham Gill. I told him that I had played in the World Cup while battling cancer. So I got ready quickly to join the team. Hopefully, he will be ready for the India vs Pakistan game,” Yuvraj Singh told ANI.

“When you have a fever and dengue, it is really tough to play a cricket match, and I have experienced that. So I hope that if he is fit, then he will definitely play,” Yuvraj added.
