The Pakistan cricket team took part in optional training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday ahead of IND vs PAK World Cup clash. Despite it being an optional training session, all the member of Pakistan squad took part in the practice.
Last game’s centurion, Muhammad Rizwan spent extra hour in the nets, polishing his sweep and reverse sweep shots to counter Kuldeep Yadav.
The Men in Green have made a brilliant start to their World Cup campaign, winning two out of two games in the tournament so far.
The Men in Green did few fielding drills before padding up for batting session. Apart from Rizwan, Imam ul Haq also had an extended session.
It must be noted that the Pakistan team landed in Ahmedabad on Wednesday from Hyderabad to play the big clash. The team is likely to go with the same XI for the match against India.
Security beefed up for IND vs PAK
Security has been beefed up in Ahmedaba ahead of IND vs PAK. According to reports, more than 9,000 security personnel will be deployed in the city and at the Stadium on the match day. Earlier, the Gujarat Police had received an email threatning a bomb blast during India-Pakistan World Cup match. Police later arrested a 29-year-old man from Rajkot district for sending the email.
