West Ham coach Kevin Nolan encourages Eden Hazard to reconsider retirement

West Ham manager Kevin Nolan wants Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard to rethink retiring.

West Ham first-team coach Kevin Nolan has encouraged Eden Hazard to reconsider his retirement. The manager has proposed a “trial” for the Chelsea great. After being without a club since leaving Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer, the former Belgium international opted to hang up his boots at the age of 32.

“I’d have the Hazard of Chelsea at West Ham, yeah,” the West Ham first team coach told talkSPORT Drive. “I’m sure if he wanted to come and trial we’d, I mean, I’d certainly be willing to. I don’t know about the gaffer [David Moyes].” said Kevin Nolan.

However, Nolan feels that Hazard could be persuaded to execute a U-turn in the coming months. The West Ham manager has left the door open for a possible move to the London Stadium.

Insidesport

Eden Hazard has declared his retirement from football at the age of 32. The Belgian left Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, a year before his contract was set to end. Despite claims to the contrary, he did not join with any other team.

Hazard was never the same after suffering an injury in his first season at Real Madrid, in a Champions League match against PSG in the 2019/20 season, and struggled with injuries at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. He quits after achieving success with Lille, Chelsea, and the Belgian national team, who he led to third place in the 2018 World Cup.
