UFC President Dana White's Confirmation of Conor McGregor's UFC Comeback Sparks Fan Outcry Against UFC 300 Participation

It’s the 100th update on Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback after his absence since 2021. Fans have eagerly awaited his return, anticipating the iconic Billy Strut walk, hands raised in the air, and his charismatic presence. Recently, UFC President Dana White confirmed that McGregor has submitted his paperwork to USADA, indicating his imminent return. However, some devoted fans have expressed their displeasure, stating they’d rather not see McGregor take the spotlight at the prestigious UFC 300 event.

Fans don’t want Conor McGregor for UFC 300 despite Dana White’s confirmation of his return

Recently, the Irish superstar revealed on social media that he’s in the process of rejoining the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool. This has sparked speculation that his comeback could align with the momentous UFC 300 event. Adding to the buzz, during the recent UFC Vegas 80 press conference, Dana White provided insights into McGregor’s current standing regarding the USADA pool.

Talking about McGregor’s update, White stated, “He’s not officially in the USADA pool. He has submitted the paperwork. Probably by Monday, he will be submitted. Again, don’t hold me to that but the paperwork is submitted.” When questioned about the potential timing of McGregor’s return, the UFC Head Honcho mentioned that there are no specific plans in place for McGregor at the moment. They will evaluate how things progress before deciding on the next steps.

Considering the potential time frame of his return aligning with UFC 300 and the grandeur of the event, there’s a chance McGregor could headline. However, fans have made it clear that they are unhappy with the idea of McGregor being the main event at UFC 300. Check out the reactions below.

According to the fans, they aren’t keen on having “The Notorious” McGregor as the main event for UFC 300, mainly because he won’t be contending for a title. Fans are leaning towards a main event featuring a title fight, and the likelihood of McGregor headlining without a title in the mix is next to impossible.
