Barcelona 2-2 Granada: Barca overcome two-goal deficit to clinch a point

Barcelona made three alterations to the side that beat Porto in the Champions League. Christensen started at centre-back in place of Araujo, Lopez replaced Romeu in the midfield, and Ferran Torres replacing the injured Robert Lewandowski.

Granada made four changes to the team that drew with Almeria in their previous match.

The hosts started the game at a brisk pace and scored within the first 30 seconds. Gavi lost possession inside Barcelona’s half and Granada broke forward quickly. Boyé slid a through-ball down the right side of the box to Zaragoza, whose first-time effort beat Ter Stegen fair and square.

Granada piled on to the misery of Barca again in the 29th minute through the same means. Gumbau spotted the run of Zaragoza and placed it perfectly into his path. The winger then cut across Kounde with some clever feet before smashing the ball into the net.

Barca retaliated in the stoppage time of the first half. Joao Felix found a way to stitch a pass to Lamine Yamal in between a flurry of defenders in the middle of the box. The Spain international only had to tap the ball into the empty net.

Balde drove a cross into the heart of the box, with Roberto getting a shot away from close range. Ferreira got a touch on it but was unable to keep it out. The hosts wanted a free-kick after Joao Felix barged Vallejo to the floor before the away side scored.
