‘Really excited’, Babar Azam opens up on blockbuster IND vs PAK World Cup clash

Pakistan will face host India on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan cricket team’s skipper Babar Azam said that the team is really excited for IND vs PAK set to be played on October 14 in Ahmedabad. Babar Azam, Rohit Sharma along with other 8 teams’ captains took part in a “Captains Day” and addressed the media.

Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam were bambarded with questions during the interaction and most of them included the hype around the IND vs PAK clash.

“Yes, very excited. But before 14th, we have 2 matches and we are planning on a match to match basis. IND PAK is always a big match and everyone is excited for this match”, Babar said during the interaction.

During the interaction, host Ravi Shastri jokingly asked Babar Azam about the Hyderabadi Biryani. The Pakistani captain laughed and replied, “it is good.”

There is no such pressure: Babar Azam

When asked about the pressure on playing against India in India and the difference in pitches and conditions, Babar said that they are not much difference in conditions and the team has settled well.

“There is no pressure it is similar to Asian and Pakistani conditions. We are here from a week we have played practice games. There is not a lot of difference here the boundaries are smaller margin of error is little for the bowlers. If there is a bad ball the batter will utilize. We will try to apply ourselves best on the day”, Babar said.

The Men in Green will kick off their World Cup campaign against Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad. They will then face Sri Lanka in their second game on October 10 before travelling to Ahmedabad for IND vs PAK clash.
