London, Madrid or Naples? Gianluca Di Marzio reveals Victor Osimhen’s destination

Chelsea, Real Madrid, or Napoli? Gianluca Di Marzio discloses Victor Osimhen's destination in an exclusive interview with InsideSport.IN.

Just over three months ago, Victor Osimhen led Napoli to a Serie A title, filling hearts with joy. Now, he’s deleted most Napoli shirt photos, leaving fans with a bittersweet ache. Napoli can only blame themselves because their best goalscorer in decades is considering leaving. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with InsideSport.IN, renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio dived into the Victor Osimhen Saga and his future at the Serie A club.

The forward’s contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium expires in just over two years. Off the pitch, there is growing concern about Osimhen’s future and where he could end up. Speaking on the note Di Marzio told InsideSport. In exclusively:

“The problem is the contract because they are not speaking about renewing it anymore and he only has around 1.5 years left on his contract. Forcing a move-through with Napoli´s chairman is the worst way to leave Napoli. He will just let you stay at Napoli until the end of your contract even if it means that the club will not get any money.”

The TikToks posted by Napoli’s official account have recently gained widespread attention, making headlines worldwide. These videos provoked such astonishment and outrage that they even caught the attention of the Nigerian government. The controversy surrounding these clips centers on the social media team’s decision to upload them. They sparked a range of reactions, from accusations of disrespect towards one of their own players to claims of underlying racist undertones.

The first video features an image of Osimhen accompanied by the song “I am a coconut,” while the second depicts the player asking for a penalty and subsequently missing it, all with a sped-up, high-pitched voice saying “gimme penalty please” dubbed over the top. The video even incurred anger from Osimhen’s agent who threatened legal action on the club. The entire controversy sparked speculations over Victor Osimhen looking to force a move out of Napoli.

“If they don’t renew the contract they have to sell him in the summer. He was really disappointed with the club and not only the Social Media manager. At this moment he is sad but I don’t think he will force a move through.” he added.

In the summer, Victor Osimhen was extensively linked with a transfer to Chelsea. Man United, Arsenal, and Liverpool have all been linked with a bid for the Napoli and Nigeria star. The Napoli saga has reignited Chelsea’s interest in Osimher. The London club feels that with the widening schism, luring Osimhen will be simpler.

“I know he is on top of Chelsea´s list and they wanted him in January but it’s difficult to convince Napoli to sell him. Napoli wanted £200 million during the summer and maybe he will go down to require £150 million but on the other hand everything is possible at Chelsea.” Di Marzio claimed speaking exclusively to InsideSport.IN.

“If they want a player, they can get him but they would need to make another record transfer fee. “ he added.

With 31 goals in all competitions last season, Osimhen prompted great speculation about his future. Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Liverpool have also been linked with a bid for the 24-year-old. With Real Madrid being the most successful club among them, DiMarzio delved into the possibility of Osimhen joining the La Liga giants.

“Real Madrid, not in January. In the summer, it depends on Mbappe and depends on Håland because Real Madrid’s plan is to get both or to get one of them.” DiMarzio revealed.

“Mbappe and Håland are on top of their list. If they don’t get one of the two or both, obviously Osimhen who has a year left on his contract can be perfect for Real Madrid.”

“It also depends on the kind of coach they will sign after Ancelotti,” he concluded.
