Why is Virat Kohli missing in World Cup Promo?

The answer is fairly simple. The former India team skipper didn’t travel with the rest of the squad to Trivandrum from Guwahati. It is home to light that Kohli had to return to Mumbai for personal reasons but is expected to reach Kerala soon and join the team.

The BCCI has not officially informed if Kohli will be available for the India vs Netherlands World Cup warmup match, but it is expected to join the team soon.

“A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that he went to Mumbai for personal reasons. Virat will rejoin the team soon,” a BCCI source was confirmed as saying by Cricbuzz website. The rest of the squad arrived in the Kerala following a four-hour flight on Sunday evening.
