After going down to New Zealand in the World Cup Warmup match, Pakistani batters Babar Azam and Falhar Zaman had a busy day in the nets. Fakhar Zaman did get to bat in the match against the Kiwis but Babar Azam however managed his first fifty in Indian soil. After the Kiwis chased down the big target, it was back to nets for the Men in Green.
The Pakistan Cricket Board took to social media to post a video about their training session. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman were spotted sweating hard as they faced a barrage of pacers.
Essentially a throwdown training, the top duo was seen preparing to face the pacers as they are top-order batters. While some pitches in India will favour a bit of swing and seam movement, it is crucial for the duo to get into the proper zone ahead of the World Cup.

Babar Azam has been in splendid touch off late but it is Pakistan’s opening pair that has fumbled recently. Both Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq have squandered multiple opportunities to score big runs in the Asia Cup and are continuing with their inconsistent form.
Ahead of the World Cup, the Men in Green cannot afford to start their campaign on a poor note. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf were among the pacers who bowled some grueling deliveries at the two batters.

Both Babar and Fakhar looked in deft touch and played the shots in the net to perfection. They were cleaver to leave out the wide and bouncers but went to strike the balls that came under their batting arc.
Pakistan next plays their World Cup warmup match against England on 2nd October and they begin their World Cup journey on 6th October when they take on Netherlands.
