Leading the team from the front, Babar Azam continued his fine form in PAK vs NZ World Cup warmup match. The Pakistani skipper slammed his first fifty in Indian soil as the Men in Green continue their preparations for the ICC World Cup 2023.

Playing in Hyderabad, Babar Azam took the task to the Kiwi batters when he came to bat early on after Imam ul Haq returned to the pavilion. Accompanied by partner Mohammed Rizwan the duo brought up the fifty-run partnership to put the Men in Green in a good spot.

On his first visit to India, and the Pakistan Cricket Team’s first visit to their neighbors in over 7 years, Babar continued to showcase his class.

The Pakistan Cricket Team landed in India on the 27th, had trained the day after, and on the 29th, i.e today they take on New Zealand. It took him just 57 balls to stamp his authority in Hyderabad as the World No. 1 batter slammed his maiden fifty on his first game at Indian soil.

Babar Azam’s valiant knock came to an end when he was dismissed on 80 by Santner. Just 20 runs shy of the three-digit score, Babar Azam would have surely written his name in the history books.

The World Number 1 ODI batter will again get his chance to flex his batting skills when Pakistan takes on England in their second World Cup warmup match on 2nd October.

Batting with a strike rate of 95, Babar Azam slammed 8 fours and 2 sixes to stamp his authority in Hyderabad against a formidable Kiwi bowling attack. Pakistan begins its World Cup journey against minnows Netherlands on 6th October.
