Liverpool have been winning against their opponents with some dramatic flare in their last couple of matches. They have now won 4 times by a 3-1 margin against their opponents. They came back from behind 3 of these times including their last Premier League win against West Ham United. This saw them climb up to 2nd position in the Premier League table, only behind Manchester City with a perfect winning run. They also have a 19-game unbeaten run in total at stake.

Spurs ended last season in 8th place in the league table. Hence, unlike the top clubs, they had no EFL matches during the week. Hence, they have had an ample amount of rest approaching this match. Additionally, they also registered at least 2 goals in every Premier League game under new coach Postecoglou. However, to their disadvantage, Spurs have conceded five goals in their last three matches. Considering they have not won against the Reds in 12 consecutive matches since October 2017, they will need to fight harder.
