The men’s T20 cricket competition at the 2023 Asian Games is set to run from September 27 to October 7. Fourteen teams will participate in the men’s cricket tournament at this event, and the bronze and gold medal matches will take place on October 7. The top five seeded teams, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, will skip the initial rounds and directly enter the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, the remaining nine teams will engage in a group stage format, organized into three groups of three teams each. The winners of these groups will advance to the top eight stage alongside India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou will serve as the venue for hosting all the cricket matches during the Asian Games 2023. Asian Games 2023, Men’s Cricket: Full Schedule
Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the Indian side during the event. The India side are set to compete in their first tournament match on Tuesday, October 3. This fixture will mark the start of the quarter-final stage in the Cricket edition of the 2023 Asian Games.
