Kohli needs just one century to break Tendulkar's record for scoring the most 100s in ODIs.

After making his 49th ODI century in the IND vs SA World Cup 2023 match, Virat Kohli is close to breaking yet another record. The right-handed batter is now close to holding the record for scoring the most 50+ scores in ODI cricket. Most 50+ score in ODI: Sachin Tendulkar tops the list

The Little Master stands at the top with 145 50+ scores in 463 ODIs. Tendulkar currently holds the record for scoring the most runs (18426), most 100s (49), and most 50s (96) in ODIs.

Virat Kohli (119)

The Delhi cricketer went past former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara after scoring his 49th century on his birthday to move to the top 2 spot in the most 50+ scores in ODI. Kohli is the only active player on the list, with 49 centuries (joint most in ODIs) and 70 fifties (10th most of all time).

Kumar Sangakkara (118)

The former Sri Lankan skipper was not too far away from Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 96 fifties when he retired. However, his making just 25 hundred saw Sangakkara finish second with 118 50+ scores in ODI.
