Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Team India has jet off to China for Asain Games 2023. To emulate the success of the women’s cricket team, the men’s team will also start their campaign from the quarter-finals stage.
SAI Media confirmed on Thursday that Team India has taken off from Mumbai airport, bound for Hangzhou, for their much-anticipated campaign at the Asian Games 2023.

Apart from skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, all eyes will be on Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prabhsimran Singh, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, and Rahul Triphati. Notably, NCA chief and team’s head coach VVS Laxman was also spotted with the Men in Blue.
Team India will reach China by evening and from tomorrow onwards they will start their practice. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Washington Sundar have tested their muscles out in recently concluded India vs Australia ODI series (IND vs AUS). The duo performed well in that series and will be keen to continue their form.
Due to their higher seeding, India will start their Asian Games campaign on October 3 in the quarterfinals. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are the four teams that will compete in the quarter-finals straight.

India’s cricket match in the opening quarterfinal will start at 6:30 AM IST.
