And the Chinese fighter came out on top yet again with an impressive TKO win over ‘The Juggernaut.’ So in the aftermath of that event, we look at the boxing schedule to see what’s in store for fans this weekend.

Big boxing events are often few and far between since there are so many parties involved. Moreover, there are seldom multiple boxing events on the same weekend. And after last weekend had just one big event, this weekend, fans will have a choice between multiple events.

Boxing Schedule: Which fights will take place this weekend?

The biggest fight happening this weekend is the Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo event. Alvarez will put all four belts on the line when he faces Charlo on Saturday, September 30, at the T-Mobile Arena. The two super-middleweights will feature in the main event of the card, which also features some other exciting contests.

Former welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas will face former light-welterweight champion Mario Barrios in the co-main event of the evening. This could be another exciting clash. Whereas, the card will also feature a super-welterweight clash between Jesus Ramos and Erikson Lubin.

While Canelo vs Charlo has stolen all the attention, there is another title bout happening this weekend. Jai Opetaia vs Jordan Thompson will take place in the UK this weekend for the IBF Cruiserweight championship of the world.

In addition, we will also witness a heavyweight clash between Murat Gassiev and Otto Wallin this weekend. The two will compete in the main event of a card in Turkey. And finally, the last event happening this weekend will see Daniel Dubois’ sister, Caroline Dubois, takes on Magaly Rodriguez in the UK. The undercard of this event will have Viddal Riley against Quarless.
