Sadio Mane and Robert Firmino had a reunion when Al Ahli played Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. The duo played together at Liverpool and now play for two different clubs in Saudi Arabia. In the end, however, Mane’s side had the last laugh, and he didn’t hold back. Mane rubbed it in as Al Nassr triumphed 4-3 against Firmino’s Al Ahli.
The former Liverpool strike partners were facing each other for the first time since relocating to the Middle East this summer.
The two ex-Reds were close friends during their six seasons together at Anfield, where they combined with Mohamed Salah to score 338 goals between them – Salah: 156 goals [58 assists], Mane: 107 goals [30 assists], Firmino: 75 goals [49 assists].

But on Friday night, it was Mane and Ronaldo that really stole the show. He and Mane combined to give the Al Nassr the lead in the first half of their big win.
The match was a goalfest, with Ronaldo and Talisca both scoring a brace for Al Nassr. Mahrez, a former Manchester City player, scored a goal and provided an assist for Al Ahli. Kessie, a former Barcelona player, also found the back of the net.
Mane’s hilarious reaction
During the match, fans also picked up on a humorous exchange between Mane and Firmino. The reaction has since been widely shared on social media.
Following an Al Nassr’s goal, Mane was seen celebrating the goal by leaping onto his former teammate’s back.
It’s clear that Firmino didn’t know who he was. When he found out that Mane had jumped on, the video showed that Firmino turned away without a response.
It was a sweet moment between the duo that Liverpool supporters will adore, as there’s bound to be plenty of interest in the Saudi Pro League by Liverpool fans.
