The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been highly successful in securing sponsorship deals with various brands for the Indian Cricket Team. Their most recent achievement involves a lucrative partnership with SBI Life, the insurance division of the State Bank of India, resulting in a significant boost in revenue.
The BCCI has designated SBI Life as an official partner for both domestic and international cricket during the 2023–2026 season. This announcement was made in a statement released on September 20. According to information obtained from Cricbuzz, SBI Life, one of India’s largest insurance providers, agreed to pay INR 85 lakh per game, surpassing the original base price of INR 75 lakh.
This collaboration kicked off with the first IND vs AUS ODI, held on September 22 in Mohali. Much like the deal with IDFC First Bank, the title sponsor for all domestic bilateral series in India, which pays Rs 4.2 crore per game, this three-year agreement with SBI Life encompasses 56 games.
