Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Co. are preparing for the upcoming bilateral ODI series against Australia. India are coming to the series after winning the Asia Cup. With the WC incoming, the senior players including Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya might be rested for the series against the Aussies.

The Men in Blue had an excellent time in Sri Lanka during the Asia Cup and they will be desperate to continue their winning run against the mighty Australia and then carry the winning momentum in the World Cup to end the drought of the ICC trophy. It must be noted that India last won an ICC trophy under the leadership of MS Dhoni in 2013 as India defeated England in a rain-curtailed final match.
