No rift in Pak cricket! Senior player denies Babar Azam vs Shaheen Afridi fight in dressing room after Asia Cup loss

Dismissing the previous reports, a senior member of the Pakistan Cricket Team has claimed that there is no dispute among the members of the Pakistan Cricket Team. As per previous reports, two superstars Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi clashed in a heated dressing room exchange after PAK vs SL match

Pakistan cricket team came to the tournament as the favourites. But they suffered a humiliating loss to India and lost to Sri Lanka in the last over. Senior players like Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman had a poor outing.

But now a senior player from the team informed Cricket Pakistan, “The team’s sole focus is on cricket, and we are not concerned about the critics. Losing a match gives our critics an opportunity to voice their opinions, but these are merely negative speculations.”

He went on to clarify, “In the team meeting, everyone shared their thoughts, but there is no truth to the rumors of a verbal altercation or the coaching staff needing to intervene. Everyone left the meeting together, and many teammates travelled back to Pakistan on the same flight.”

What did initial reports say?

As per Bol News, Pakistan, captain Babar Azam minced no words. He pulled up non-performers and told them they became too big a star and that performance did not matter. “If you continue this way, you will be forgotten soon. World Cup is your last chance,” Babar Azam allegedly told the players.

But Babar’s dressing room rundown did not go down well with Shaheen Afridi. He told the captain, “At least appreciate those who bowled and batted well.” However, Babar did not like the interruption. He told Shaheen Afridi, “I know who is performing well and who is not.”

But now reports claim something else. Apparently, there is no rift among the players. With arch-rivals India having won the Asia Cup, the Men in Green will now turn their focus to the World Cup. Babar Azam and Co will travel to India on 25th September. They will play 2 warm-up matches before beginning their World Cup campaign.
