Ball-By-Ball Details of Mohammed Siraj’s 2nd over Mayhem

3.1 WICKET! Ravindra Jadeja plucked a stunner at square. A length ball from Siraj, Nissanka pushed at it. Jadeja dived to his right and grabbed it low.

3.2 – NO RUN! Length ball, going away. Left alone.

3.3 – WICKET! Bowls another length ball pitching just outside off that beat the inside edge and hit Sadeera on the front pad. Batter took the DRS but it was always hitting the stumps.

3.4 – WICKET! This time, Siraj bowls a full delivery around off and Asalanka just pushed at it which went straight to cover.

3.5 – FOUR! Length ball on the stumps and de Silva just pushes it through mid-on region for a boundary.

3.6 – WICKET! Again a fuller delivery. Dhananjaya pushed it at away from the body. The ball swung away to take a faint outside edge and Rahul grabs it.

Feels like a dream: Siraj

Siraj finished with 6/21 in 7 overs as Sri Lanka got all-out for a mere 50. After the innings, Siraj opened up about his fiery spell and admitted that it all “feels like a dream.”

“Feels like a dream. Last time I did the same against Sri Lanka at Trivandrum. Got four wickets early, couldn’t get the five-for. Realised you get what’s in your destiny. Did not try too much today”, Siraj said.

“I have always looked for swing in white-ball cricket. Did not find much in the previous games. But today it was swinging, and I got more wickets with the outswinger. Wanted to make the batters drive”, he added.
