Igor Stimac establishes major rules for representing India

He along with the coach has embarked on a new mission to convince the clubs to release players.

“We play for India. That is our identity. We pledge to respect the jersey we wear… We pledge to fight and protect the honour of our brotherhood. We pledge to live our lives in a manner that inspires” is what the Indian coach had mentioned as the national team’s motto in his tweet.

Igor Stimac is unlikely to travel to China with an under-strength Indian team. He had stated that the Asian Games were his top priority. In reality, the AIFF announced a 17-member roster on Wednesday for the football competition at the Asian Games, which will begin in six days on September 19th. Stimac may only accompany the team with Sunil Chhetri leading the squad.
