Injury grappled Pakistan suffered another blow as their middle-order batter Agha Salman is likely to miss the remaining of the Asia Cup. To note, the right-handed batter suffered a blow on his face during IND vs PAK Asia Cup clash on September 11 (Monday). Participation of express pacers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also remains in question as Pakistan is set to face Sri Lanka in their next Asia Cup match.
Salman coped up a blow while facing Jadeja in IND vs PAK clash
Walking out to bat at number five, Salman decided to take on the spinner without the helmet. However, Jadeja’s one delivery hit the batter as he was trying to play a sweep shot. The visuals showed that there was blood dripping from below his right eye. He also did not travelled back with the team and went back for scans after finishing his innings.
To note, Rauf did not participated on the reserve day as Pakistani bowlers were hammered all around the park by the Indian top-order. Naseem who bowled his 10-over quota did not came out to bat as the Men in Green played with only eight batters. Recently, PCB named Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan as Haris and Naseem’s back up.
