Gautam Gambhir has been named as ‘Global Mentor’ for Lucknow Super Giants for upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL). On Saturday, the KL Rahul-led side LSG announced their complete coaching staff.
Sridharan Sriram, a former Australian cricket spin coach consultant who previously worked with Justin Langer, has joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the assistant coach for the IPL 2024.
With the addition of Sriram, the Lucknow Super Giants outstanding coaching staff, which also includes head coach Justin Langer, global mentor Gautam Gambhir, assistant coaches Vijay Dahiya, Pravin Tambe, and the South African combination of Morne Morkel and Jonty Rhodes, is complete.
Sridharan Sriram brings a wealth of coaching knowledge with him. He successfully guided the Bangladesh men’s national T-20 team during his time there to two outstanding triumphs in the T-20 World Cup’s Super-12s.
Sridharan Sriram: A coaching great in Lucknow Super Giants
Sridharan Sriram was essential to the Australian men’s team’s victories in the T20 World Cup and the Ashes during the 2021–22 season.
He has experience in the IPL as well, serving as an assistant coach with the Royal Challengers Bangalore with a focus on batting and spin bowling.
In 2008, Sriram also attained the renowned title of “Head Coach” at ECB Level 3.
