Lamine Yamal scripts history, becomes youngest ever goal scorer for Spain

Lamine Yamal made history against Georgia by scoring the youngest-ever goal for Spain in the 74th minute.

Lamine Yamal has made history as the Spanish men’s national team’s youngest-ever goal scorer. With Barcelona this season, the young sensation has suddenly become popular. At 16 years and 57 days old, Yamal has already broken the record previously held by Barca teammate Gavi to become the youngest player in his nation.

After becoming Spain’s youngest player and goal scorer in a 7-1 victory over Georgia in their EURO 2024 qualification match, the 16-year-old has already started shattering records.

While the accomplishment is unquestionably spectacular, fans were even more shocked to witness Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata score three goals. The 30-year-old star of Atletico Madrid was given the role of captain for the contest.

He scored Spain’s first, fourth, and fifth goals in a fitting response. With this goal, he has now scored 33 goals in 65 games for his country. The next game for Spain is against Cyprus on Tuesday, September 12.
