Martin Bain is stepping down as CEO of the Indian Super League (ISL) after four years in charge, ahead of the ISL 2023-24 season. The Indian Super League’s tenth season begins in a few days. The Indian Premier League will begin on September 21 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, with Kerala Blasters hosting archrivals Bengaluru FC.

Martin Bain, the former Scottish Premier League director, comes here in 2019 after more than 25 years of expertise. He has held senior positions at numerous football clubs and leagues around the world. The 55-year-old has previously served as CEO of Rangers FC and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
“Martin Bain, CEO-FSDL, has decided to step down for personal reasons. The company expresses its appreciation for his contribution during his association with us. We wish Martin all the very best,” an FSDL spokesperson informed TOI.
Martin will leave office at the end of this month. According to league sources, there are currently no preparations to name an interim CEO. The ninth edition begins on September 21, with fixtures expected later this week.
