What Happens If India vs Nepal Gets Washed Out?

Nepal lost their first match, while India's first encounter was washed out.

After rain played spoilsport in the IND vs PAK clash on August 2, rain is expected to play the role of killjoy once more in the India vs Nepal encounter on August 4. The fifth match of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in the Pallekele Stadium and will decide whether India or Nepal move into the Super Fours stage of the tournament. A question arises though: What happens if India vs Nepal gets washed out?

Pakistan have already qualified for the Super Fours with one win and one match ending in no result. In case of the India vs Nepal being washed out, India will move to the next stage (Super Fours) with 2 points (both from no results). Meanwhile, Nepal will have to go back home after they were hammered by 238 runs by Pakistan in the tournament opener.
