Express pacer Haris Rauf scalped the wicket of Indian batter Shreyas Iyer in the India Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2023. During the mini-battle, Rauf also broke the Iyer’s bat but the ball still reached the boundary. The right-handed batter got out after trying to pull a delivery and he connected well but found Fakhar Zaman at the square leg region. Iyer got out after scoring 14 off nine balls leaving India in trouble at 51/3.
Indian top order collapsed under disciplined bowling
Opting to bat first, Indian batters were cautious at the start. Rohit stroked a few boundaries before Shaheen Afridi got him with a peach. Kohli got off the mark with a flashy boundary. However, the left-arm pacer struck once again with Kohli chopping one delivery to stumps. As mentioned above, Iyer was scalped by Rauf with a short length delivery. At present, opener Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are at the crease with play set to resume shortly after a rain halt.
