US Open 2023: Schedule, Draws, LIVE Streaming, Check All you need to know about US Open

All eyes will be on Novak Djokovi as he is all set to make his return to the US Open. He and Carlos Alcaraz will headline action in the tournament that is set to get underway from Monday, 28th August 2023

US Open LIVE: All eyes will be on Novak Djokovi as he is asll set to make his return to the US Open. The Serbian is chasing his 24th Grand Slam title and enters the tournament as the second seed. World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz meanwhile aims to defend his title in the year’s last Grand Slam event that gets underway on Monday, 28th August 2023. While these two players leads the Men’s Singles draw, Iga Swiatek leads the draw in Women’s SIngles. The 22-yer old hopes to defend her title but will face challenge from the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff. Check all you need to know about the US Open 2023.

Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner in first quarter

Reigning US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz will begin his title defence against Dominik Koepfer. The 20-year old is placed in a tough section of a draw. He could face 16th seed Cameron Norrie in the fourth round and might face sixth seed Jannik Sinner or 12th seed Alexander Zverev in the quarter-final.

Jannik Sinner is the sixth seed and will face Italian Yannick Hanfmann in the first round. He might set up clash against compatriot Lorenzo Sonego in the second round. His biggest challenge is likely to be against 12th seed Alexander Zverev. The German recently reached the semifinal at Cincinnati Masters. He will begin his campaign against Australian Alexander Vukic.

Andy Murray is also present in the quarter. The 2012 US Open champion will face France’s Corentin Moutet in the first round. If he advances to the third round, he might set up clash against Zverev. Veteran Syan Wawrinks also finds himself in the quartrer. The 2016 champion will face Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in the opening round.

Daniil Medvedev & Andrey Rublev headlines second quarter

Russians Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev will lead the second quarter of the draws. Third seed Medvedev is one of the title favourites this year. He faces Hungary’s Attila Balazs in the first round. He is likely to face 27th seed Borna Coric in the third round and might set up clash against 13th seed Alex de Minaur in the fourth round.

Andrey Rublev meanwhile is the eighth seed. He faces Emil Ruusuvuori in the first round. This might be a tricky challenge for the Rusian as against the same opponent, he suffered a second round defeat at Cincinnati much recently.

Another Russian in Karen Khachanov is also in the same quarter. He is the 11th seed. He will return to action in single after the French Open this year. 17th seed Hubert Hurkacz also finds himself in the quarter.

Casper Ruud, Holger Rune lead third quarter

Last year’s runner-up Casper Ruud headlines action in the third quarter. Ruud hasn’t been in a great form in the lead up to the US Open this year. He will face USA’s Emilio Nava in the first round. Frances Tiafoe, who made it to the semifinal in lasy year’s edition will be hoping to replicate a similar show in the Grand Slam event this year, the American is the 10th seed. He faces fellow compatriot Learnier Tien in the first round.

Holger Rune meanwhile is the fourth seed and he is also present in the same quarter. The Dane will kickstart his campaign against Roberto Carballes Baena in the first round. He is likely to face Tommy Paul in the fourth round. The American is the 14th seed in the tournament. If Rune makes it to the quarterfinal, he is likely to face either Casper Ruud or Frances Tiafoe.

Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas in same quarter

Novak Djokovic makes a return to the US Open after 2021. The Serbian is the second seed and is eyeing his 24th Grand Slam win. He will begin his campaign by facing Alexander Muller in the opening round. This section of the draw is comparitively easier to other quarters.

Djokovic’s first challenge will be in the fourth round, where he might face 15th seed Felix Auger Aliassime. Aliassime however failed to go past the second round in the hardcourt tournaments in the US in the run-up to the US Open. He will be facing Mackenzie McDonald in the first round.

After Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas is the next top seed. The Greek is the seventh seed. He faces veteran Milos Raonic in the first round. Tsitsipas’ first challenge will be against Christopher Eubanks. Both the players are likely to face each other in the third round. Eubanks stunned Tsitsipas in the fourth round this year at the US Open.

Ninth seed Taylor Fritz is also present in the quarter. If Tsitsipas wins the third round, he might face Fritz in the fourth round. Fritz begins his campaign against compatriot Steve Johnson. He might face Lorenzo Musetti in the third round.
