PSG ace Kylian Mbappe is said to have rejected down the latest contract offer from Paris Saint-Germain. As things currently stand, his intentions remain to depart next summer.
The World Cup winner is only under contract at Parc des Princes until the summer of 2024. As a result, PSG has been forced to make difficult decisions about the 24-year-old’s future.
According to reports, an offer was made to Mbappe on Wednesday, which he has already rejected. PSG’s Qatari owners are willing to leave the decision in the hands of club chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi.
However, a choice must be taken on whether to spend the 2023-24 season attempting to persuade the superstar forward to stay. Otherwise, PSG will have to declare Kylian Mbappe available for sale at this point to avoid losing him for free.
PSG had even turned down a €300 million bid from Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal. Despite an astronomical €700 million salary package for a single year, Mbappe turned down the offer. Real Madrid’s reluctance to satisfy PSG’s demands for Mbappe’s move looks to have influenced his decision.
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has ruled out a bid for Kylian Mbappe during the current transfer window. This came after PSG demanded a world-record asking price for their most coveted asset.
However, rumours in Spain indicate that the Liga giants are awaiting a “green light” to begin negotiations on a player. He is thought to have already agreed to terms on a prospective free agent move to Spain in 2024.
