In a recent instance, Ellerbe turned to Twitter to convey his viewpoint. He pointed out that while they do share some history, he wanted to reiterate his previous sentiment: The way Reynosa has managed Canelo’s career post the Floyd fight is unquestionably extraordinary.

According to Ellerbe, Reynosa has fostered connections while generating substantial earnings, all to propel his fighter’s goals forward. This has garnered Ellerbe’s profound respect and admiration. Check out the tweet below.

Canelo holds the crown as the boxing world’s most prominent figure. With a vast fan base spanning the United States and Mexico, he reigns supreme in popularity. Yet, during his bout against Gennadiy Golovkin, Leonard Ellerbe, the head of Mayweather Promotions, made a pointed remark.

He asserted that Eddie Hearn’s efforts to draw attention to the fight were employing an outdated strategy that had lost its impact. Ellerbe added that Hearn seemed unaware that the fight didn’t resonate with the U.S. audience.

Acknowledging their history of disagreements, Ellerbe’s recent tweet has served as a means to confront and reconcile those issues, thereby conclusively ending their feud. By commending Canelo and lauding him as “masterful,” Ellerbe has taken a step towards mending their relationship.
