Active players with most runs in ODI Asia Cup: Rohit Sharma stands a top with 939 runs
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is the highest run scorer among active players in the ODI Asia Cup. The opener is also the 4th highest run scorer in Asia Cup history and the 2nd highest run scorer from India, behind the great Sachin Tendulkar (971 runs).

Rohit has a 15-year Asia Cup career, having played 26 matches and averaging 49.42 with one century and nine fifties.
Mushfiqur Rahim (830 runs)
The former Bangladeshi skipper, Mushfiqur Rahim, is the highest-ever run scorer from Bangladesh in Asia Cup history. While Rahim is ranked 5th among all-time run scorers in the Asia Cup, he is also the 2nd highest run scorer when it comes to wicketkeepers, behind Sri Lankan great Kumar Sangakkara (1075 runs).
The wicketkeeper has two centuries and three fifties to his name. The lower-order batter also has a respectable average of 36.08 in 25 matches.
Virat Kohli (742 runs)
The former Indian skipper has a short but extraordinary Asia Cup record. Having played just 15 matches, Virat Kohli still finds himself among the top 10 run scorers of all time in ODI Asia Cup history.

Kohli has an average of 61.83 in 13 innings and has four centuries and one fifty to his name. Despite playing almost half the matches of the top two run-getters, the number 3 batter finds himself not even 200 shy of their records.
Shakib Al Hasan (575 runs)
Often considered to be the best to play for Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan makes the list ahead of star batter Tamim Iqbal.
Shakib has had a long Asia Cup career; however, the southpaw has a not-so-flattering record in the tournament.
The southpaw has failed to score a single century in the event despite playing 18 matches, with an average of 35.93 and 5 fifties to his name.
Shikhar Dhawan (534 runs)
The veteran southpaw opener, Shikhar Dhawan, has a similar record to Delhi teammate Virat Kohli. Having played just two editions of the Asia Cup (2014 and 2018), Dhawan has an incredible average of 59.33 in just nine matches.
In these matches, the left-hander has notched two centuries and two fifties, scoring 50 or more runs in every other game.
