IND vs IRE: India picked up a 33-run win to seal the series and goes up 2-0 in the 3-match series. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna bagged 2 wickets apiece to seal the deal for the Men in Blue. Ireland fought back hard after Andrew Balbirnie took the Irish charge on himself to slam his 10th T20I fifty and score 72 runs. But it came to no avail as India’s fiery ending sealed the deal for the Men in Blue.
Tasked to chase 186, Paul Stirling & Lorcan Tucker departed early after scoring ducks. Ravi Bishnoi then came on to dispatch Harry Tector and then Curtis Campher. But Andrew Balbirnie continued his fine form by slamming a fiery 72-run knock to keep the hosts alive in the contest. Earlier, India’s new Mr Finisher Rinku Singh smacked 21-ball 38 to help India finish with 185/5 in 20 overs. Before Rinku, Ruturaj Gaikwad dictated the pace with 43-ball 58 while Sanju Samson punished Joshua Little to score 26-ball 40.
