However, many fans noticed that his haircut resembled that of former India captain and legend MS Dhoni, who had sported a similar faux hawk style before the IPL 2021. Dhoni, who is known for his changing hairstyles over the years, had also inspired Kishan’s teammate Hardik Pandya to get the same cut few years ago.

Some fans commented that Kishan was following Dhoni’s footsteps, while others joked that he had copied Dhoni’s style.

Aakash Chopra disappointed by Ishan Kishan’s absence from IND vs IRE T20Is

Former India opener Aakash Chopra expressed his disappointment regarding Ishan Kishan’s absence from the Ireland Tour and stated that only performing in the IPL will not help Team India to win the T20 World Cup.

“I think we’re not taking T20Is seriously. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill are not going to Ireland. I can understand people needing breaks. But from now till the T20 World Cup, we have 14 matches. Don’t think about IPL, everyone performs in IPL but that doesn’t mean we would win the World Cup. In fact, the only time we won it was when IPL wasn’t even there,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Kishan, who made his international debut in March 2021, has been a regular member of the Indian limited-overs squad since then. He has played 17 ODIs and 29 T20Is so far, scoring 694 and 684 runs, respectively. He is expected to be part of the Indian team for the Asia Cup, which will begin on August 30 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
