In a massive piece of news for the Indian Cricket Team, Rishabh Pant’s batting practice is going phenomenally well. The southpaw was seen at JSW VJNR with batting equipment. The wicketkeeper batter did not face any difficulty in small movements as he came down the pitch and displayed brute force. The 25-year-old had a throwdown session, but it is still not clear if he faced 140Kmph in the nets session.
For the uninitiated, Pant began batting session a fortnight ago. At that time, it was reported that the speed of the deliveries would gradually increase. Not only batting, but Pant has also begun wicketkeeping duties with lesser intensity. Currently, the 25-year-old is focusing only on smaller body movements as quicker ones may aggravate injury. The medical staff and trainers at NCA are optimistic that Pant will start quicker body movements in a couple of months’ time.

Speaking about the Delhi Capitals skipper, he was at his hilarious best during a speech, which was shared by JSW Foundation chairperson Sangita Jindal on social media platforms. In the video that is going viral, Pant is encouraging people to enjoy life no matter how old they get.
“Once you keep growing older, you stop loving the game. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of pressure, you want to excel in life and do this and that. But wo enjoyment nahi miss karna hai life main,” Pant could be heard saying in the video.
Rishabh Pant: Pant recovery going well, wicketkeeper batter likely to make comeback in England series
With two months still to go for Pant’s recovery, it is unlikely the southpaw will be fit for ODI World Cup. BCCI have made it very clear that it won’t rush any player back to the Indian team after paying a huge price in Jasprit Bumrah’s case. After World Cup, India play Australia in the five-match T20 series and after that, they travel to South Africa in December for the all-format tour.
Pant may not be fit for the Protes series, but the BCCI are optimistic that the 25-year-old will be fit for the England Test series, which is slated to be played in January.
