The time away from the ring for Randy Orton is expected to end, but it won’t be this weekend. While Orton isn’t taking bumps and hasn’t been given the all-clear for ring action, he is lifting weights, which has helped him become “huge.” According to Fightful, Orton had a lower back fusion in May 2022. Despite medical advice to the contrary, The Viper is apparently preparing to restart his in-ring career.

Randy Orton will not be making a comeback at MITB, a seasoned source on the WWE creative staff confirmed to us. Also mentioned was the fact that “if anyone says may return,’ that is pure clickbait.”

The Usos defeated Matt Riddle and Randy Orton in a WWE Tag Team Championship unification match on the May 20, 2022, episode of SmackDown, marking the 43-year-old Orton’s last encounter.

Orton was rendered unwatchable on television after The Usos attacked RK-Bro and drove him through the announce table after the contest.

At the time he took a break from the ring for surgery, Orton was a very popular babyface. He is still one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time.

WWE lost one of its biggest stars and draws when Orton was out, so any promising developments in his comeback are welcome news from the perspective of the business.

The Apex Predator will add a tonne of star power to the WWE offering when and if the time comes, even though it doesn’t sound like Orton is very close to making his comeback just yet.
