Kane targets treble with Bayern , hasn’t ruled out comeback to Premier League

Harry Kane wants to win every possible trophy with Bayern Munich. He could also return to Premier League in future to chase and break Alan Shearer's record.

Harry Kane: Following a series of drama involving Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy, Harry Kane has finally made his move to Bayern Munich. The player made the switch to win trophies that were absent from his career with Spurs. He had to leave the Premier League taking a decision to leave the chance to challenge Alan Shearer’s record. However, the player has not ruled out a possible return to the league in the near future. He also expressed his wish to achieve all possible trophies with Bayern Munich.

Kane’s career with Tottenham Hotspur saw him win no trophies with them. Despite his excellent scoring record, the player did not lift any trophies at all with the club. Hence, the decision to leave came easy to him. Following his move to Bayern Munich, expressing his desire, Kane said, “Success is to try to win every title there is this season. That is the expectation at Bayern. That is the reality and the targets they want to set and I think they are achievable.”

He added, “My job is to try to help to make that happen. If at the end of the season, we have not won every trophy we will be a little bit disappointed but we know it is very tough to achieve that as well. We are not taking anything for granted.” Kane already made his debut in Bayern’s DFL-Supercup final against RB Leipzig yesterday. To his dismay, they lost the match by a 0-3 margin. It seems Kane will have to wait much longer to win his first trophy with the German giants.

Kane’s wife’s pregnancy was thought to be the primary hindrance in Kane’s decision to leave England. However, adding to that, another one of the major factors was Alan Shearer’s record number of 260 Premier League goals. At the end of last season, Kane reached 213 Premier League goals and he was determined to chase that record. Talking about the record, Kane did not rule out a return to the Premier League in the near future to keep chasing his goal.

Kane said, “Of course, people are talking about the record and Shearer but I have plenty of football left in my career. But for now, I want to concentrate on trying to achieve things here and trying to push myself and the team and trying to reach new levels with this club and that is what my focus is on now.” Considering Kane’s scoring ability, it can easily be guessed that he will achieve great things with Bayern as well.

Kane is the England team’s captain and their ace. Hence, it is natural that the national team’s coach is invested in his star player’s whereabouts. Apparently coach Gareth Southgate has contacted Kane following the move. About what cooked up between the two, Kane said, “Gareth sent me a text yesterday just to congratulate me and will give me a call next week when things calm down a bit. I think he’ll be excited. He knows his striker for England is playing at the highest level and that can only help.”
