Sanju Samson grassed his chance to make a claim ahead of the Asia Cup on Sunday. In the final game of the IND vs WI series, Samson was dismissed for just 13 in a poor show. It continued a trend of low scores for the Rajasthan Royals captain, hurting his bid for a place at the World Cup.
With places up for grabs, Samson had the perfect opportunity to stake his claim for a spot in the side. But as has often been the case, the 28-year-old bottled his chance to make it count. While he started off with a couple of boundaries, he perished soon after for just 13. The Rajasthan Royals skipper scored 51 in the 3rd ODI to showcase his talent, but his consistency tapered off. He managed 2, 7 & 13 in India vs West Indies T20I series.
