Christian Horner does not want any challenge for Red Bull Racing in 2024

Christian Horner is enjoying his life at the top of Formula 1 and is happy to have no competition.

Red Bull, under Christian Horner, and Mercedes, under Toto Wolff, were involved in a fierce title battle in 2021. Both the constructors’ and drivers’ championships were up for grabs. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were lighting it up on the track. Meanwhile, their team bosses were busy with their political battles behind the scenes. Formula 1 was at its peak.

Rule Changes lead to new Domination

Ironically, the rule changes designed to allow closer racing have produced a period this dominant. The irony is enhanced further because it follows THAT Formula 1 season. After years of trying to knock Mercedes off its perch, Christian Horner managed to do so. And now, Red Bull sits at the top.

While there was a title battle for the first few races in 2022, 2023 has been utter domination. Red Bull has won every race and sprint before the summer break. Max Verstappen has lost only 2 and 1 of each respectively. Both the titles are all but wrapped up, and there are still 10 races to go. People are complaining about the sport becoming boring. When Christian Horner was asked about this, he had a hilarious answer.

‘Not an ounce of me wants a challenge

Christian Horner was quick to admit that he doesn’t want a title challenge at all. He funnily remarked that he is still trying to recover from the 2021 season. He was quick to point out that this kind of domination doesn’t come easy. His team is working hard for it.

Everyone in Red Bull is working hard to make sure they maintain their advantage. Max Verstappen is driving like a man possessed. Red Bull is breaking records every time it hits the track. This kind of season is beyond everyone’s wildest imagination, says Christian Horner.

While he is avoiding the prospect of Red Bull winning every race of the season, it sure looks extremely likely.
