Virat Kohli still king on Instagram, charges 11.45 Crores per post

In a study held recently it was revealed that Virat Kohli makes $1.38 million (Rs 11.5 crore) for a single post. He is behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Another day and Virat Kohli has hit another milestone off the field. The former India captain is the third richest athlete on Instagram as he charges a whopping 11.45 crores per Instagram post. Kohli is just behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the HQ Hooper list. To note, the legendary batter is the only Indian in the Top 25 celebrities earning rich income from Instagram.

In the survey conducted recently, Ronaldo has emerged as the highest-earning celebrity per post on Instagram for the third year in a row. He left behind the second-placed Lionel Messi by over a half million dollars. The 38-year-old earns $3.23 million for a single post, while Messi earns $2.6 million, according to a list prepared by Instagram scheduling tool Hopper HQ.

The football duo is way ahead of famous stars like actor/singer Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner and actor Dwane Johnson, while Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Brazil’s footballer Neymar is also on the list. Former India captain Kohli, who has 256 million followers on Instagram, is 14th overall on the list and third-highest earning sportsperson after Ronaldo and Messi. Kohli makes $1.38 million (Rs 11.5 crore) for a single post.

 Meanwhile, the former Indian skipper hopes to end India’s ICC trophy drought with the squad in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup. The team will be finishing off the India tour of the West Indies and will play a series against Ireland before participating in the Asia Cup and the World Cup. The Men in Blue are set to take on arch-rivals in their opening clash of the Asia Cup 2023.
