Youngster Shubman Gill failed to get going once again. To note, Gill has failed to score runs despite being in the playing XI in all the games India has played in West Indies. Gill has failed miserably in 20-over format
India failed to chase 149 in the first T20I, succumbing to a 4-run loss in Trinidad. In the 2nd T20I, India rode on Tilak Varma’s fifty to post 152 but West Indies won the match by 2 wickets, taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Shubman Gill has managed just 15 runs across 3 T20Is, getting out to single-digit scores on all three occasions.
